WWF Wrestling : British Bulldogs
British Bulldogs
Davey boy Smith and Tom Billington..aka the 'Dynamite Kid'.

Fuck me ...shocking stuff.

Tom Billington is an interesting character..still alive..just..at 59!

His family are a family of executioners. ..literally.

I grew up watching these cunts.like ravishing Rick Rude and jake the snake..all fucked or brown bread a lot of em.

Brutal game it seems for staged entertainment

Probably more to do with the massive strain on their hearts from excessive steroid use and a gruelling training regime.

Well of course.

But seeing the state Tom Billington is in now has shocked even me.

I have been in contact with him since hearing of his plight..and thankfully plenty going on to help the fella.

"In the mean time, and in between time, that's it for another edition of Stampede Wrestling"

Mean nothing to most of you but that is where I first saw the British Bulldogs, alongside Smith's in-laws the Harts. (and Honky Tonk Man and a bunch of others.)

Proper small town stuff, 50 ish people in the venue, the lowest production values, on peasant vision tv, Saturday afternoons.

Davey boy smiths best work involved the shockmaster. Wrestling at its Best.

Dynamite was a pretty unsavoury individual by all accounts.

Nonetheless, it's sad to see the state he is in.

I still enjoy wrestling to this day but today's performers will never match the likes of Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Roddy Piper et al.

Re: WWF Wrestling : British Bulldogs
You only have to read Bret Hart's (His brother in law) book to find out what a horrible bloke Dynamite was.

Swindon

Bret Hart is davey boys brother in law mate...and Bret Hart has zero credibility. .
But granted..the dynamite did some naughty things in his time..roid rage at the heart of it.
Cannot condemn the man wholly for that..he was off his nut.

Certainly paying the price now.
Randy Savage and ultimate Warrior are another couple of big names that fell to pieces..

Re: WWF Wrestling : British Bulldogs
Owen Hart was a big tragedy..fell from 70 odd feet ..think Rick Rude died around same time.

Re: WWF Wrestling : British Bulldogs
Norm,

Yeah sorry he wasn't Hart's brother in law but he would stay with the Hart family for long periods and was Davey Boys cousin.

It's not just Bret who told these stories. Dynamite was a renowned prankster and bully who over stepped the mark on many occasions.

Mr. Burns 8:46 Wed Nov 1
Re: WWF Wrestling : British Bulldogs
One of the Rougeau Bros decked Dynamite for being a bully. Hand full of quarters did the job.

Re: WWF Wrestling : British Bulldogs
Smith did marry into the Harts but they all came up together in Calgary.

There is story, if I remember it correctly, where Dynamite hassled Honky Tonk to the point of making him cry and got hit in the mouth with a fist of quarters in a later match for it. This resulted in them leaving the WWF and going back to Stampede, I think (or it could be the other way around.)
